Hi there,

Just wondering, how do you create a hazy day over the sea in FS9,
and if you cant under normal settings are there any addons to enable one to create haze over the sea ? any help would be appreciated

Hi, eddywinch.

Seeing as you live in the UK, you could probably achieve it 90% of the time just by using 'real weather'......

eddywinch,

The best weather addon for FS2004 is a payware program called ActiveSky 6.5.  It is impossible to describe the amazing improvement in the weather it accomplishes without you seeing it for yourself!   The support for it is awesome as well.  And it will add effects like wake turbulance too.

One thing to remember though is that there is an inherent "bug" in the fs2004 program.  That is that if there is a haze overcast as say 7000 feet... and you see it above you and then you fly up through it........ looking down at the ground...... it is basically magically gone.

Activesky can't fix this either.

But Activesky DOES fix that awful default ground fog that looks like someone poured skim milk on the surface of the earth  ;).

Hope this helps.

best,

.................john

John.

Does ActiveSky have any effect on Frame rates?
As you can see from my specs I'm a little challenged in the Graphics card department ::)

Best.

Zaphod,

That is a hard one to answer.
