FS Navigator - Help??

Postby Paintwagon » Thu Oct 02, 2008 7:38 am

I use FS Navigator and like it very much. However, when I load new scenery(airports, etc), then run FSNAVDBC, the new airport taxis ways and terminal buildings are gone on the FSNAV display map, and "too many waypoints" is displayed when I reference this airport.. Any ideas??

FS Navigator only displays what is listed in the Default Microsoft Airport Scenery and Object files when you run the FS Nav Data Base.

I have many add-on Airport scenes in my FS 2004 Californian scenery, but only the default runways, taxiways, objects, etc, are actually displayed in FS Nav....

FS Nav only searches the MS Default Scenery for its data.

F...G-BPLF....FS 2004 + FS Navigator..... 8-)...!

...the really nice thing about FS Nav is that it tells you where, if any, the Fuel Pumps are located on the GPS map!....;)... :)...!
..its also worth its weight in gold used as a Moving Map RADAR display to show all other Multiplayer players on line... :)...!

Thanks for replying so soon "F". Do you "uncheck" your scenery files in FSNAVDC before entering "create database"? IF I don't uncheck them, then I lose my taxiways,etc... after running it..

I check all my required files in the FS 2004 Flight Sim Scenery Library.
Close the Sim down.
Run the Nav Data Base, where all my scenes are already checked for me.
Restart the Sim.

The FS Nav only displays the Default Airport/Airfield layouts.

F....G-BPLF... 8-)...!

My add-on, complex scenery for Santa Barbara Cal. only shows the default runways, taxiways, objects, etc, in FS Nav.

Only the scenery designed by myself using AFCAD, Abacus EZ Scenery, Runway Generator, etc, is displayed in FS Nav...not other folks scenery which I download!...;)...!

I do exactly what you do.. But when I restart the Sim the default runways are there, but the taxiways and objects are gone for the airport with new scenery..plus it adds many more gates and when displayed, it says "too many waypoints".. Go figure!!!

FS Nav doesn't have any way of recording the coordinates and objects of other folks imported airport design. They are not part of the Default Flight Sim Objects which FS Nav uses to display.

F...G-BPLF...!

Your new airfield can only be seen when you exit FS Nav and look at the actual airfield around you.

Just use FS Nav for Navigation.

F...G-BPLF... 8-)...!

Even the Default Sim GPS Map will not show add-on Airport scenery details.

Are you running any other Airports with Freeware add-on scenery, that exhibit your particular problem with FS Nav?

F...G-BPLF... 8-)...!

I am wondering if the Payware scenery for Chicago is modifying the internal Default scenery for the Simulator, affecting FS Nav... :o...!
