Sorry I'm so stupid about this, but...

Postby weirdalfan1000000 » Sat Aug 23, 2008 9:30 am

I'm very new at this game, and I was just wondering if there were simple controls, like turn left, turn right, forward, back, landing gear, nose down, tail down, etc.

Hello, and welcome to SimV!

I think most of us fly with joysticks (although, you can use the keyboard for control too) so I guess it really comes down to what you call "simple".

You can assign just about any keys (or buttons, if you use a joystick) to almost any function you wish. For example, if you want the "up" arrow on your keyboard to push the nose over, it can be done.

Helpful? :-?

I'm such an addict, that when I had to (between sticks) I even learned to fly and land the FS copters with the keyboard.

I didn't like it, it wasn't fun, and I won't recommend it  ;D but I did it  ;)

I'm very new at this game, and I was just wondering if there were simple controls, like turn left, turn right, forward, back, landing gear, nose down, tail down, etc.

I suggest you start with the basic flying lessons in FS9.
