Scenery problems

Postby p1127 » Mon Aug 25, 2008 4:45 pm

Hi All,

I am having a problem with scenery but only in some areas. Sometimes the coastline has jagged edges. My system allows me to have all sliders to max. Is there perhaps an adjustment which might stop this.

As always, a Screen Shot is always desirable to illustrate the problem...;)...!

OkFozzer, will have to do this tomorrow as at work right now. Can you just explain how I send a screenshot (never done one before).
Many thanks

Hello p1127, and welcome to the nuthouse!

By default, the coast lines in FS9 aren't very smooth to begin with, but I've heard of issues that have cropped up in the past when some scenery files have become corrupt, making the coasts look like they were formed with a square cookie-cutter. This would usually require a reinstallation of those scenery files. (or all of them if you aren't sure which ones are bad.

Is this a new development, possibly related to a new add-on?

There is a tab at the top of this page (in the blue bar) that says "Upload Images".

Thanks for the quick responses guys!

I have many add-ons but would be unable to tell which one may have caused this. I don't really relish the thought of a complete reinstall - this could take hours! I could possibly try the last few add-ons however as this has not been like it for long.

I have read through the screenshot tutorial and will have a go at posting one sometime tomorrow.

Thanks guys

Dave
