No worries. You don't need to do anything for the gauge to work. I just meant that this XML gauge reads the engine RPM, and does it's thing accordingly.

NEVER be afraid to ask for clarification on something you don't understand. That's what these forums are for. :)

Ok, double check a few things.

1) Inside your sim's gauges folder you have the two XML gauge folders from the Typhoon download. They are "dsbxml" and "efa_gauges". (I don't think you need the second one, but it won't hurt if it's there.)

2)Open your Viper's panel.cfg file and see if you see this line:

gauge01=DSBXML!DSBAburner,  1,1,1,1

In the default panel config, it's near the very bottom under the heading "[VCockpit11]"

If those things are right, and the afterburner was coming on with the light switch before, then everything else should be ready. Fire up your sim and give it a shot.

Not at all. As long as the line is there telling the panel to use that gauge, all should be well. The number tells the sim how many gauges to expect to load. Each gauge entry needs it's own number. In your panel.cfg, that gauge is the first  gauge in that heading (they always start a "0" or "00"), in mine, it's the second, that's all.

Hmmm, can you copy and paste the light section of the aircraft.cfg here for me?

Also, just so I know exactlly what your working with, try to post links to the downloads. (plane, panel, whatever else) That way, I can set up just like you have it, and figure out where the problem might be.

Fear not, we'll get you through this! ;)
