Max speed?

I've been fooling around with some sort of high mach (like in the double digits ) aircraft, but it seems like FS9 will not allow any plane to exceed about 2900 knots.  I know that the aircraft can acheive higher (or atleast thats what the "aircraft" file states) but still i cant push through over 3000.  Is there some way to change this?

Like all the other limitations (99k feet, cant fly over north/south poles, etc...) The speed is restricted to around 2900.

Is there any way to edit the FS9.cfg to change it? I mean its not like the game cant process fast enough. I can understand a limitation like height due to the fact that theirs no data or whatever for it or the restriction of the north and south pole, but speed seems like something that could be able to be changed.
