OOps! Clicked 'YES' to fs2002/2004 non-compatible

Postby Jaypee Dippel » Wed Jun 11, 2008 5:17 pm

I have made the mistake of Clicking 'YES' after installing a converted fs2002 aircraft (delete incompatible features). Now my aircraft is hovering over the runway on invisible landing gear! I've tried re-installing but still no show. Is there any way to save this plane?

Hi There. Please try this.

Find fs9.cfg & open it in Notepad. Look for the name of your aircraft listed below the [FrameCallNoWarn] header. Change the value from 0 to 1 & exit Notepad saving changes. That will be the best you can do.

Thanks for the reply, Can't find this fs9.cfg file. Would the sim operate if it was deleted?

No. A new one will be created when you restart FS9. Check out the FS9 FAQ here ---> Where is the FS9.cfg located?

PS. When you find fs9.cfg you could simply delete it. Then click No next time you select the problem aircraft.

To Hagar, Just wanted to shoot you a line back and say Thank's.  I found the fs9.cfg file, it was buried big-time, followed your instructions and voila! my plane's got landing gear and working control surfaces. You're the best. J.P.
