Problem with kirk Olson's F-16 Viper HUD

Postby Lordluud2 » Sun May 18, 2008 7:56 am

I have downloaded Kirk Olson's F-16, and I must say, he did a fabulous job. But, now there is just one problem. In order to make all the gauges and the 2D cockpit work, I had to download a panel with gauges (he had the address of the cockpit in his info file.

So, I installed the downloaded cockpit, but only a few gauges work. So, I began to read some more, and figured out I had to use his panel.cfg in order to make it work. So, instead of using the panel.cfg from the downloaded cockpit, I used the one from his VIPER file. I installed it in to the gauges folder. But, the 2D cockpit still doesn't work, along with some gauges...

Can someone help me...?   ;D

Thanks in advance

panel.cfg files go in an aircraft's ...\panel\  folder, not the ...\gauges\ folder.

Dave
At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

yeah but Kirk's cfg file is already in the aircraft folder... I am doing something wrong, that's for sure, but I don't know what...

Ok, let's start from the beginning then. I installed the plane in the aircraft folder. The gauges in the fs2004 gauges folder etc. But, the downloaded cockpit, I installed in the gauges folder... But, this is wrong isn't it...?

And as you say the cfg needs to go in the aircrafts panel folder, but the cfg file I need is already in there... :-?

EDIT: I got the 2D cockpit to work, but still not all the gauges in the VC...

The VC in Kirk's F-16 doesn't have any gauges. Only the 2-D does. It's a minor flaw in this wonderfull plane.

Crash ;)
