Prevailing Winds

Postby JSpahn » Mon May 12, 2008 9:42 pm

Hey guys

I have been flying an IFR from KPIT to KPHL for awhile, some times I will pickup my ILS either North  or South.

My question is does ATC bring you into the wind while landing?

It should.  But MSFS ATC is notoriously funky.... so all bets are off.   ;)

Yeah I know what you mean ATC had me land on 27r at KPHL in a L-1011, which is a very short runway :o

Thanks for the info John

When they asign a daft runway or maybe one without ILS when u want one with it (at airports so equipped) if the options available, ask them for a different runway! Ive never had them say 'no' yet!
