Kneeboards - no can touch to look

Postby KC Jones » Wed Apr 30, 2008 4:55 pm

[b]Ok...its been long enough now!

Bought FS2004 (I forget what year it came out) and have patched it up to 9.1.

First thing I do when I enter an airplane is go thru the checklists/kneeboard.

Every time I click on some imbedded further information I want to read I get kicked back to desktop.

IE says "sorry, save stuff and report it".

I do, and it shows that version 9.0 is being reported.

Re-applied the patch again.

It says "You already got 9.1"

Even when I try to just click on one of the icons along the right-hand side of the kneeboard...it kicks me out.

"I've had enough and I'm not going to take it anymore!!"

Yes....open your windows and shout along wih me "I'm mad as hell and....."

Please help

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

KC,

...how I put my own stuff from Notepad into checklists .....

For aircraft checklists and reference, FS2004 will read either .htm (html) or .txt files. So you could copy your .txt files from FS2002.
Example: for the default 172
From FS2002-Copy 'cessna172sp_check.txt' to FS2004
In FS2004-rename 'cessna172sp_check.htm' to 'xxxcessna172sp_check.htm'

Make sure the *.txt file's name is identical to the *.htm file your replacing.

Or you can edit the FS2004 '*_check.htm' files with an html editor. The advantage of html is that you can link to external documents or resources (likely how the Lanc's BBC works).
