Sound problem with Project Mach 2's Concorde

Postby FS 2004 Captain Liam » Mon Mar 31, 2008 3:30 am

When I get up to about 20000-30000 feet, FS9 crashes and displays the following error message: Creation failed-Check if sound file available :o >:(. Can someone shed some light on this? PLEASE??

A snail walks into a bar and the barman tells him there's a strict policy about having snails in the bar and so kicks him out. A year later the same snail re-enters the bar and asks the barman "What did you do that for?" :-)

That is a odd error I have never seen that before. Have you allready broken the sound barrier? If not the approiate sound might be missing.
That is the only thing I can think of. you should also be able to play the sounds in the sound file check to make sure they all play or that a filename is not wrong in the sound cfg file. 8-)

in the sound folder of the plane with the problem you should see several wav files and a sound.cfg file the sound cfg file should call each wav file in the folder, what you need to do is print the sound cfg file and check off each wav file it uses and see if you have one left over or missing one or one could be miss spelled
example of sound cfg entry
[STARTERB]
filename=bbn1strt
viewpoint=1
link=starterB.1
this is the name of the wav file and you should find it in the sound folder

Unless the sound file in question is linked to a gauge, in which case it would be in the main FS9 sounds folder. It's hard to know which .wav it is really.
