I don't think it's possible to play FSX music in FS9. Simply because FS9 has no music of it's own (I never heard it anyway). What you could try is to find the music files in FSX and play them through a media player like Winamp.

Just a suggestion. Don't know if it works.

Crash ;)

Hendrix actually hated that song. See this famous clip. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gv3cKLWQimE

PS. What's this doing in the FS2004 forum?

The project Fokker F-28 also has a nice music player built in, so you can insert the top gun theme

My favorite composers for in-flight music:
Pratt&Whitney
Lycoming
Continental
Rolls-Royce

Some people think it's noise, but believe me, when it stops... you miss it very much. ;D

There is a gauge available called Radio-CD by Robert Clark. It plays music in the cockpit, not in the User Interface.

It simulates an AM-FM radio that can be configured to play 12 music files, in most any format, from your HD. It will also control your music playback from the CD drive.

An earlier version (v3) is available at SimV's downloads. http://www.simviation.com/fsgauges_7.htm

The latest version is Radiocd v4. Google for 'radiocd4.zip' to find it.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

Agree with rotty, best music in an aircraft is a smooth running engine.

Sounds like a cool little program. I might have to check it out. It would be great if the program played audio from other sources as well...
