Landing the 757-200

hi im new here and im wondering how to land the 757 on the centerline of the runway. Most my landings end up on the side

Start in a C172, and practice, practice, practice. Master landing small props before moving onto large jets, such as the B757.

i can land Cessna 172 182 and the 208 caravan. when i land 757s they go all dodgey and nearly spear of the runways. I think ill start off with a dehavilland dash 8.

Good idea to practice in a twin engined aircraft if you can already land the Cessenas etc. good luck - I'm sure you'll make a perfect landing in a 757 soon!

the way i did it was just dive right into landing heavies.  use the virtual glideslope (?).  this displays your path towards the ground.  as you get more confident, turn the virtual glideslope off, and just use your instruments.

before getting rid of FS, I could manually land a 757 on the centerline, everytime.  for your reference, i usually hit the runway between 145-155kts.  i have no idea if that is real world correct, but it seemed to work a treat in FS.

what you could also do is create a flight that just involves landing.  by that i mean, set up a VFR flight, and as you begin you approach, save the flight, and after you land just repeat the landing again and again.  remember and mix your weather up a bit also.

Practice and patience are the key things, youll soon be landing those juggernauts with your eyes closed!!  ;) (i could say without holding the joystick but that would be impossible BUT it was part of the "eyes closed".....i know how about i shutup!!  :D
