Sounds like you saved a flight with the Spit and tagged it as your default flight.
To revert to the original default flight open the FS9.cfg file and find the line:
[USERINTERFACE]
SITUATION=C:\Documents and Settings\dave\My Documents\Flight Simulator Files\3cu
Delete the path entry so it reads:
SITUATION=You should now start with the Cessna at KSEA.
When I retart the sim, the same spitfire starts, even tho the sim begins with the Cessna
Or are you saying the cessna shows in the preview, but when you ckick 'fly now' the Spit shows up at the airport?
As always, back up any file before editing.
Homebrewer,
..no matter how much I wish it were different...
Create a flight that you want at startup, click 'fly now' and then save it as the default flight--there is a 'make this the default flight ' checkbox at the bottom of the Save screen. You can make other changes to the flight, like engines off, etc. before saving.
Or-
If you've already saved some flights, select a flight you want at startup and there is a 'make this the default flight ' checkbox at the bottom of the Select Flight screen.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.
