FS9 slow?

Postby Wii » Mon Mar 03, 2008 5:14 pm

This has always been an issue (I guess) that FS9 takes forever to start up and takes forever to get the aircraft menu up and if I minimize the game while I am in the menu I can't get it back up, all I see is the rotating AC. Any clues as to why it does that?

:D  A Quote from another forum; "Have you got extended terrain textures ticked, if so try un ticking it. You won't really gain anything by having it ticked (except more time to fly)"

Don't know why your having problems after minimizing, but as for startup, that usually occurs when you have tons upon tons of addons in your program, and the sim basically needs to get everything ready for you to access. Before I reinstalled and started from scratch a few days ago, my sim would take about five minutes to fully startup.  :)
