Track IR with FS

Postby Rayzor174 » Mon Jan 21, 2008 3:56 pm

Anyone here use Track IR with either FSX or FS9? I just recently discovered it, and it looks cool, but I wonder how it really is? Is it hard to set up and use? Does it ONLY work in 3D cockpits? What happens when you look at your keyboard? Any insight?

Probably best addon for FS ever designed, and other games too say so. i got the TIR3 Pro with the vector and absolutely love it, in FSX it also works in the exterior view, but in 2004 only in the VC. When you look at your keyboard not a lot happends, the view pans down, and when the IR detects the dots again it snaps back too the position it should be, you can offcourse temporarily disable it by pressing a assigned key(default F9).

The setup isnt too hard, although it is worth spending some time trying too find the right profile, all the options can be a bit daunting at first, but when you start too mesh around with the position of the tracker and the settings you'll get it right eventualy!

It is just awesom.....you try it, and you'll never want to fly without it...better to get the planes with VC ;)

I think it's the best investment for FS! If you search for it on youtube, you will see it's awesome! I just uploaded a small video too (though it's using TrackIR, the key point is the scenery there, so can find better ones)

It's a must have!
It works just as well in racing sims too.
I have been using it since 2001 and wouldn't fly/drive without it, seriously. It is that good.

Surely if you turn your head you'll be looking at the wall, and not the screen?

no, it has a acceleration too it, or deceleration, you can set it as you like. Im not too good in explanaining this, but on the website:

www.natural-point.com they got some videos that show you how it works.
