I hate to be the bearer of bad news but that will not work as you will be missing the registry entries :'(
Granted you could try to copy your registry entries over and then recreate them in your new system [glow=yellow,2,300]BUT I MUST CAUTION IF YOU DO NOT GET THE ENTRIES CORRECT YOU CAN TURN YOUR BRAND NEW COMPUTER INTO A REAL NICE PAPER WEIGHT.[/glow] I would strongly advise you not do this unless you know what you are doing. ;)

Although you'll be missing the registry entries, it will run as it did before. The difference being that your computer won't recognise that FS is installed, which could cause problems with some auto installers than need to recognise the sim before they allow you to install an addon.

Although I'm sure there was a tool (which I asked about not long back) around which automatically added FS to the registry for you, in a new location. I can't remember what it was called, so someone should be able to point you in the right direction.

Excellent news...!

Keep the FS 9 flag flying...;)...!

Now store the new CD's in a Safety Deposit Box for safe keeping!... :)...!

(Don't forget: The "uninstaller.exe" is on CD No. 1 if ever you need it).

Yes, I was going to suggest buying another copy. FS9 can be got very cheap now, especialy 2nd hand, and it's always worth having the originals to hand should you loose or corrupt a texture for example.

What I would reccomend is to burn copies of the 4 FS9 disks and then keep the originals in a safe place. Then if you loose or damage the ones you are useing, the original is still safe.

I install it once, then install the no-cd crack, so i dont need too use the CD's, i usualy do this for all of my games and programs, and most of my CD/DVD's are in a near perfect state.
