:D  You could try running a search for the aircraft in question and delete anything that popped up.  Did the plane have an uninstaller package?

Have you saved any flights with it?? If so, try deleting those flights. Also, if it was the last thing you flew and you have the previous flight set to be default then delete the previous flight file.

You need to reinstall the a/c you have deleted. Open FS9 select another a/c close FS9 then delete the first a/c.

That can happen at startup if you have removed the aircraft that is called for in your default flight.

If the sim starts, save a different default flight, or...

Open the FS9.cfg and look for the following line.

[USERINTERFACE]
.......
SITUATION=C:\Documents and Settings\dave\My Documents\Flight Simulator Files\3cu

Delete the line and the sim will revert to the 'default' default flight, the C172 at Seattle.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

:D I see  that aircraft has an installer package.  Did you run the uninstaller to delete it?  If nothing else suggested worked, reinstall the plane and then uninstall it either with the built in uninstaller or it may be in the control panel under add/remove programs.

The usual reason for this error is that the missing aircraft is still selected in your default flight. The easiest way to fix it might be to delete fs9.cfg. Rename the file to back it up if you prefer. When you next run FS9 a new one will be created with the default settings.

To save setting everything up again, try this. Back up fs9.cfg first!

Open fs9.cfg in Notepad. Scroll down to the [USERINTERFACE] header. Delete the path from the SITUATION= line. This will return it to the original default flight with the Cessna at Seattle. The edited setting should look something like this.

[USERINTERFACE]
MAP_ORIENTATION=2
PAUSE_ON_LOST_FOCUS=1
PROMPT_ON_EXIT=1
SelectFlightLevel=31
SelectFlightTitle=0
PageID=3
OpenATCOnCreate=0
SITUATION=

PS. Oops. I see Dave beat me to it.
