water problem with carriers...

Postby DonAlfonsoRoKil » Sun Dec 23, 2007 4:12 am

I have some carriers, and many problems with them.

One carrier is flying 50 meters above the water, another one made a mountain of water, where it is at the top of!!!
Or another one, I cann only see the deck plane, all other is under-water!! And the planes of the first carrier sit below the carrier on the water...  :-/ :-/

PLEASE HELP ME!!!  :'(

Well, I have Abacus Flight Deck 4 AND the Alpha Admiral Kuznetsov, and of BOTH packages EACH carrier has these errors...  :-/

@yuk:
I looked for the elevations, but there were only two, onefor the deck and one for the runway,their were the same. The other objects (maybe parkings?!) don't have elevation entries.
There's no other area around them. And the flatten files which are seperated have an elevation of 0 - is that correct due to the waterline?
What I don't understand, the gauge, where should I find which file with which entries?  :-? :o sorry, can you please explain it again?  ;)

:D   Look in the main FS9 folder, there is a folder named gauges, inside you will find dsd_arrestor and dsd_catapault.  In AFCAD both elevations should be the same.   I just rechecked the USS Martin Luther King and the deck elevation and the surrounding elevation were both 65.3.  It shouldn't need a flatten switch if your vessel is on the ocean as that is sea level.

:D  An afterthought, try downloading a free add-on carrier like the KING or Stennis and see if any problems occur with those.
