game is blinking with dual screen

whenever i play the game using my 2 monitors (connected to a 512mb ATI X1650 graphics card).. it doesnt like to work that well

i can make it display on both screens, and the display settings are adjusted to allow it to use both... but, in game, the screen on each monitor keeps going black, then to picture, and repeating. this is every couple of seconds


any idea whats happening? the screens are fine otherwise

Check your GC...make sure it's properly configured for multi monitor use.

you mean in the proper ATI Control Panel... or in Windows?

the CCC (for the graphics card control panel) doesnt load in vista...

Usually in ATI Control Panel is where you set that sort of thing up. You can through XP too, but I'm not sure about Vista. There is probably some way to. Google is your friend!  ;)

Did you find a solution? I got my new computer now, FS worked well for two days, the suddenly I got the same thing you report.
I only have one monitor, my graphics card is MSI 8600GT (=Nvidia) and it flashes about twice a second.
And if I switch from full screen to window mode, the sim's world is displayed constantly, but with between 1.8 - 2.1 FPS.  :-/ :-/
Unusable....  :'(

Well, sort of... I havent fully tested... But the solution to my dual screen problem is most likely that I needed to set up the dual screen feature in my graphics card's control panel.
