Invisible textures problem..

Postby MCAntonio aka AN21 » Tue Dec 25, 2007 6:25 am

Oh please! Show some mercy you stupid Acer PC!! When I select an aircraft with shiny textures(i.e. SU-31 bare metal) it partly becomes invisible(only the shiny part of it)...I hope you understood what is going on. Any suggestions(except of buing a new PC)??

I also remember messing with the gamma on Vietcong 2. Does this matter?

Is that the only model that has this problem?

Try this one, to see if it's an issue with you machine, or the model. The North American P-51D Mustang - "Silver Lady" by AVA

The "Silver Lady" is ALL reflective, and should tell you right away if it's your machine or not. (Pretty aircraft to boot)

It's not the model that has the problem..Even the default Baron is see-through(not invisible)..

This can happen with a missing or incompatible ...\\Texture\envmap.bmp file. It may have been replaced by an add-on or removed by an uninstall.

The default file is 43kb, file date 04/17/2003.

You can extract the default file from CD#2\MSGAME3.cab

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.
