Removing default AI

Postby DaveSims » Sun Dec 09, 2007 3:22 pm

Is there a way to get rid of the default AI (Orbit airlines, etc.)  I just tried out World of AI and love it, but I'd love to get rid of the fake airlines.

Go to the map Scenery/World/Scenery and rename the file Traffic030528.bgl into Traffic030528.bak. And presto. No more default AI. Including the GA planes that is.

Crash ;)

Thanks looks so much better.  I wish I had tried the real AI a long time ago.

I kept my Traffic030528.bgl as I like to see the GAs in the sim as well as the big stuff. I changed the aircraft to the more well known liveries BA Easyjet Lufthansa etc........as well as adding PAI schedules too.

Now I have so many aircraft I have to get in line with the rest.........commoner ;D

That's an easy way to do it BUT you will end up with the repainted default AC all over the place in the wrong colours. Imagine landing in Sydney and seeing a row of BA 737's!

The best thing to do is get TTools and edit the default AI file to remove the comercial stuff.
