How to download the meshes "all-in-one"?

....mmm......"I cannot believe it" ......people want to download ALL of the SRTM files.........Why? Why? Why?...it is just so totally unnecessary.....(IMHO of course!) ....commoner.

I agree with you 100%. One of the problems I have with the mesh that is being mentioned in this thread is that the author states that he hadn't tested it on FS2004, just 2002.

If it isn't 2004, I'm not putting it on my system.

I believe people have been happily using that mesh in FS2004 for years with no problems. There was a big outcry when it was lost for a while when Pete changed servers. Thanks to some hard work on his part it's available once more.

Why not buy FSGlobal ? I know it seems silly as you can get all free,
but is it worth that much work for every file? For me it was not.... ;-)
Ok, when I bought FSG I did not know yet there are free alternatives, but its still good I think.

Before I finally bit the bullet and purchased FS Global, I would download selected SRTM files (on 56k dial up!) just to cover the area we were flying in the Multiplayer Tours.

I never had a dying ambition to download all the SRTM files covering the whole World...Blimey!... ...!
