weird helicopter problem

Postby gokhotit » Tue Nov 27, 2007 10:32 pm

IT was interesting, I was flying along, hit the slew key, turned slew off, and then noticed the engine throttle (not colective) dropped off from full to about 1/2.  Of course , I then proceeded to crash.  so, I experimented and it did the same thing with every helicopter I have.  This is something that just started.  Any ideas?  Fixed wing aircraft work fine.

thanx in advance

FS9 as well as all the other versions of the sim doesn't take too well to coming out of "slew" mode in the air. Can't say I've tried it in a helicopter but in a fixed wing you will often pitch up suddenly and then stall when you come out of slew while still in the air.

It could also be that your RPM's arn't in the green.  Thats why your rotor was slower. This would also explain the throttle not being able to pick back up.
