Can I just point out to anyone who is having troubles either installing, using or who doesn't want to study the book that comes with this panel, that there is an alternative panel by the same author? It's available in the Simviation library FS2002 Panels page 5.

Just a couple things to be cautious about before doing that though ....

I don't know how much older that particular panel may be, and as a result, we can't therefore garuntee how it will perform with the new FDE.

I'm most certainly not downplaying your suggestion "SIR CRASHALOT", but, this new panel, as complex as it may be, represents significant improvement over any previously published BAe 146 panel.

My real point of concern regarding your suggestion (well intentioned though it be) is that if folk start chopping and changing things .... then run into problems as a result .... it can then make things "HELL OF A DIFFICULT" for our team to trouble shoot .... if you know what I mean ;)

Best always to keep the new model and FDE with the new panel since both were designed to interact with each other.

gave FS a few moments longer and sure enough it loaded up with this incredible aircraft and complex panel which kept me entertained for a while reading through and taking it out for a test flight once i got her all fired up.

well done all at HJG a very good little jet, payware standards in my book.

Just be careful though .... for the reasons I mentioned above :)

Otherwise we can end up with "A HELL OF A LOT OF CONFUSION" on our hands .... and then a lot of wrong/erroneous impressions as a result :o ::) :(

there is no problems with this new panel crash,it just takes a little longer to load, once it has loaded you can still go back and to from your different views without any waiting for it to load again (it is just the initial loading of it).

nice one mark.

cheers

I have no problem with the new panel, lads. It's just that I am making a suggestion for those who don't need/want this highly realistic stuff with a 100+ pages manual to study. Like me. Now I've been using this Bae146 for the past two/three years with the FS 2002 panel and I've had no problems with it so far.

Downloaded, installed, working perfectly.

I have not flown it yet, but that panel is astouding, I am definitely going to have to brush up on it before I fly, but I'm no stanger to tat, considering the planes I have on my drive.

Yup, I'm a fan of early jets. :)

YEAH .... but .... this's where we've also gotta be careful too my friend ! :)

This is just "A HYPOTHETICAL SITUATION" .... but .... "IF" your suggestion were adopted (as well intentioned as it is), imagine how potentially difficult it becomes for HJG if non-standard, old, and unsupported data is employed by too many folk whom then run into problems with it .... and then start filing complaints. It kind of risks getting both HJG and the new product a very bad name :'(

See where I'm comming from now ? ;)

It really create "A HELL OF A SITUATION" trying sort out what's gone wrong.

Throughout my many years of FS experience, I've seen countless situations where folk have used non-standard data combinations with new release products .... then become disatisfied with resulting performance .... then complaints filed .... then literally hours of time then wasted by producers trying to troubleshoot a particular problem which is actually non-existent within a new product and without the benefit of  knowing that whatever's gone wrong is likely caused by the use of non-standard, old, unsupported data.

Sadly .... when "some" folk report problems they're inclined to be "VERY SELECTIVE" about what they do or don't mention with regard what they've actually done that might have led to their problem in the first instance .... it's not easy sometimes ;D

That's really where I'm comming from my friend .... if you can now see what I mean ! :)

HJG want to provide the best possible panels (and other data) for all our aircraft .... even if that means a higher than normal degree of associated complexity. Aviation is after all a relatively sophisticated business and the group tries to reflect that as best as possible within their products.

HJG also want folk to enjoy what they produce .... in as much as folk who download our products want to enjoy them too.

HJG do try going out of thier way to troubleshoot reported problems and provide as much other support/advice as possible too .... but at the end of the day .... it does make life much easier for "everyone" is all on the same page/using the same current data.

Of course HJG can't possibly support a panel version that's non-standard

Then come on over to the HJG hagars aulde son .... and help yourself to whatever you want.

For starters we can offer you better B707 models, panels, and FDE than that other payware stuff .... all thanks to our hosts "here" at SIMVIATION.COM.

PLEASE NOTE: The above is models and panels "PLURAL" .... like the entire production B707/720 family of aircraft models, and 1959, 1965, and 1970 period panels to match and which feature engine instrumentation callibrated (as best as FS will currently permit) to reflect the performances of all engine types used with these aircraft.
