2500 kias in a Viper??

Postby MCAntonio aka AN21 » Wed Nov 21, 2007 7:43 am

I was flying my Greek(you knew that) F-16 from Cyprus to Greece with my AP on when suddenly the aircraft pulled down with a speed of 2500 knots!!! Its the first time I saw that...Hopefully I turned AP off and it stopped. But I had no more fuel(what were you expecting eh?) and I crashed in the middle of the Aegean Sea. :-/

Rodos is indeed wonderful. I used to spend 3 weeks there every summer diving, eating wonderful food, drinking exotic drinks (Ouzo still scares me) and having a totally wonderful time with all the Greek friends I made. Still one of my favourite holiday memories 8-)

Alas my Greek is VERY basic and mostly related to getting drunk or eating wonderful Greek cuisine 8-) I always tried to learn the names of my favourite dishes from the waiters at our hotel so I could order authentically ;)

Did you fail miserably or did you over-exaggerate the accent? ::) :P

Alas I'm not a great linguist. That said I always try to learn the important bits first. My first words in Hungarian were beer and wine ;D
