Go inot the main Fs9 folder, and run FS9.exe. See if it's screwed up links.

If you haven't yet, try to reinstall FS9. The regular uninstall function removes some files, but not all. Uninstall it, delete the main FS9 folder, AND the folder under my documents contain fs9.cfg, then reinstall. This may help.

Good luck!  :)

email me (bottom of my sig) It will wipe your computer registry clean of your MFS2004/MFSX and you can try reinstalling from there. Sounds to me that there is either something wrong with your DISK4 or your disk drive.
(the instructions for uninstalling MFS2004 were sent to me by Microsoft and I am not responsible for any damage done to your system. By cleaning your sys reg you are putting your computer and OS at risk if you delete the wrong items. By following the instructions carefully you will not have any problems.)

I ran FS9.exe from the main Fs9 folder and it acts the same as if used the desktop shortcut and the start and run mfs2004.the disk4 is not that badly damaged just some minor scratches. Is there a way to test my disk drive?

Try running another program that uses a CD/DVD ROM. I sent the instructions.
PS this may help.

Delete the folder 9.0 NOT 10.0 if 10.0 is even there.

If it is a problem with the disc, you might be able to fix it with a disc restore liquid (available at any electronic shop). It may work..it might not. It's fixed my Disk 4 once, so it work for me.

wouldn't FS9 come up with a error message if it couldn't recognize the disk?

again good luck!  :)

Just to clarify.....The fs9 install completes, but nothing happens when you try to run the sim, right? Does your computer have more than one user account? If so, are you installing fs9 from an account that has administrative rights?

Have you tried installing and playing it on another computer? Try that if you can, if not, go here. And talk to a Microsoft support person. I advice the Live Chat because that is just more convenient but it is something wrong with the disk than you need to call them.

Edit: They will probably transfer your call, if you call, a few times so that might take longer.
