Ya know Zaphod, in a way, that's why I sat down and made this. Not to recreate an air disaster or anything, but to add a little sense of urgency and realism to "emergency" landings. ( this is a simulator after all, and s&!t does happen) And once I saw how my first version turned out, I decided to make a few more to share with the community. Thanks for the praise!

Well, here's my plan....I will make and upload effects for the rest of the default a/c,(less the Extra) then make a pack for 10 or 20 freeware add-ons, based on popularity. There in lies the problem. Which a/c would YOU guys like to see this effect on the most? I already have one for Milton Shupe's D18s, but what else?

Here's what you do:
Email me with the subject line saying "[glow=yellow,2,300]What about... [/glow]" (please include a link to the download, if possible)and I'll pick the top twenty most popular models!

Certainly sounds like a plan to me ;D
I personnelly don't fly the aluminium tubes much but I do fly in them in real life and prefer them not to have flames leaping out of them ;D
My choice would always be war birds from WW2 as you do expect to see them with some battle damage.
I'll be interested to see what others think.

Well, I've got one vote for Milton Shupe's Howard 500 with VC.  All in favor?

I personally would not mind seeing it on all aircraft, but the Howard 500 with VC sounds like a good place to go also would like to put the effect on wwII warbairds also. If able a few helicopters I think would be cool also. Thanks for the great work you are doing. I do know that it takes alot of time and Effort, as you can see every body likes all the time and effort you have put into this effect and all the ones to come. ;D

>:( Ok, I've found a bug.... It only happened to me once during testing, so I didn't bother to put it in the readme. But it happened again to me last night, so now I feel I should mention it, just so it doesn't take anyone by surprise. I've notice that my fire effect

A/C: "SimV Ground, SimAir Flight 101, we are reporting an emergency.  Engine one is on fire."
ATC: "SimAir 101, have you tried descending out of the fire?"
A/C: "SimV Ground, SimAir 101.  Descended 500 feet.  Seems to have worked.  Thanks."

i like it on my defaults... my other planes are there to be loved and not scratched  :D

i was thinking that surely if you just had a flame fx and a smoke fx that you could add it to any aircraft you wanted... but maybe not

my lear 45 taking off after hitting a badger on the runway (damn badgers, got sucked through engine number 1)

i messed it up with the FX file... i thought it would have been in the effects folder, but it wasnt

Can I request that this engine fire effect be put onto Kazunori Ito's F-14A/D Tomcat package found here (second from bottom)

This effect looks incredible!! :D
