The Realism of FSSkyworld

Postby a1 » Fri Sep 28, 2007 9:59 pm

Is it realistic? I really think all of the dawn textures are a bit overdone. I don't think real life dawn is that yellowish. If so How do you uninstall the textures you don't want?

A1, want to try something nice for sky textures/colors? Try PerfectSky...more realistic color than Skyworld..although Skyworld had given me many, many photo ops over the past couple of years..just a question of finding the right combination of stuff.

The dawn and dusk textures are indeed over-the-top, but they look flashy, and hey, I'm not too big on the realism of my sky, I only care about the aircraft flying realistically. Besides, clipper said the other reason why I like it. Excellent photo-ops, my 777 JC photo (now my desktop background)  uses FSSkyworld at sunset.

I honestly don't get what you guys are saying...You're saying that the dawn in the shot below shot looks flashy?? :-?

Back when I lived in Rome, I used to get dawn's that pretty much looked just like that ::) ::)

YA ok. I would say this is a bit yellow for my tastes. ;D What is wrong with the textures? Do I need to install all of the sky textures to have the sky like yours?

Hurts My eyes after a while of looking at it. LOL
What happened here? :o

It's in FSSkyWorld. If you click the Sky Color tab, you'll find it.  ;) ;)

When I load up FSSkyworld, I always click on Random. There's so many combinations that I don't want to get stuck with one in particular.

So you are saying that each time I run FS I can change the textures to the one I want? Does it like install and take one out to fit another one in?

You sure can...You're not bound to one texture alone...That's why it's an awesome program...And yes, it does everything for you...You just have to hit the install button :P
