Of course it will...I run it flawlessly...However, it'll be a pain in the a** when you install new aircrafts and all...You'll see ;)

My FS9 runs AWESOME on Vista Home Premium (32 bit). When I bought mine last year I didn't know there was a 64 bit version though. You might want to keep a sharp eye on that. I'm not sure of how much of a diffence it would make. I have 4Gs of memory, but it only uses a max of 3.5Gs. I'm not sure if I get the 64 bit version that I could use my full 4Gs. That might be a good question to ask also. My FSX seems to struggle a bit, but I now know that it's definately my video card (ATI Radeon 1900 GT), which I will more than likely have changed out by tomorrow to a NVidia 8500 GT. I found it on sale at Best Buy for $88 USD. I'll let you know if it solves my FSX problem. But as far FS9 is concerned, I have no skipping or anything. In fact, I run FS Global 2008 (FS9), Traffic 2005 (FS9 & FSX), Ultimate Traffic (FS9), Ultimate Night Environment (FS9) along with a bunch of freeware AI traffic and I have EVERYTHING maxed out (unlimited frame rates, texture meshes, etc, etc) and I only get a quick skip (less than 2 seconds) about once every 3-4 flight hours, usually coming in for landing (and I do quite a few TNGs when I "fly". You can download all SPs through microsoft.com (no big deal, nothing complicated, just the usual stuff). Hope this helps and good luck with your project. Semper Fi, Dave

I'm running Vista Home Basic 64-Bit and FS9 without a problem.  Don't really think theres much difference in FS9 between the 64-Bit and the 32-Bit.

But first thing to do with Vista...Makes life SO much better ;)  http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1187752144
