Adjusting Elevator Trim

Postby aussiewannabe » Mon Sep 17, 2007 7:49 pm

I have some AC with elevator trim adjusters that don't seem to respond when I try to adjust it. Flying level, one looks like it's climbing and the other with -3.3 looks like its decending.

I've tried putting the mouse over it, moving the center wheel, but I can't get it to level off at 0.0.

Any suggestions?

Perhaps I don't understand your question, but elevator trim will not adjust the angle of the fuselage to make it level while cruising.

Elevator trim is used to help hold the elevator in position and reduce or eliminate the stick force.

If your bird is cruising at constant altitude, but looks like it's climbing, then it's too heavy and/or flying too slow for the altitude.
