Press "Y" followed my "Q" (and "A") to propel your craft upwards to your selected altitude, then press "Y" again to release......!
(Saves the cost of hiring a Pilot, Tow Plane...and a long length of string...).......!

That's great advice, Fozzer! I never actually knew that before (and here I thought I was just supposed to sit on the runway in my glider and watch daisies grow). I seriously never knew how to use the glider before. I am looking forward to trying that out (as soon as the desktop is free). Could you also use the "slew" mode and/or map controls to just move the plane to a desired elevation?
