ATC text box disappearing!!

Postby Paintwagon » Sun Sep 02, 2007 8:41 am

While communicating with ATC, the text box vanishes but I can still here them talking. I have to hit the "`" key to redisplay. Any idea why this is happening??

I think there is a option somewhere to autohide the ATC box. This happens to me all the time.

In ATC options, make sure the box to auto open the ATC is checked.  Then, whenever ATC talks to you, the text will appear along with the sound.

If this doesn't make sense, I promise, I will make a more detailed explanation later (after my other computer gets down with enormous downloads).

Good luck,

In the sim, go to SETTINGS/AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL and set it up however you want. I dont use the ATC text box atall, (uncheck both options, leaving pilot voice checked of course). In reality, you dont have a big text box popping up in your face whenever ATC speaks. Just remember your call sign (my flight number is the same for all of my AC), and learn to pay attention. You can always go to your kneeboard and look at the recent atc instructions if you missed them for whatever reason. ;)
