Annoying issues

Postby matt0001 » Sun Aug 26, 2007 3:43 am

Ok..I'm pretty sure that this has already been answered from a previous post, but my searches have not been very fruitful.  First, I have some third party aircraft that seem to have the same gremlin---fluttering elevators!  I don't know about the rest of my flightsim colleagues out there, but this is damned annoying.  I've tried switching out panels and such, but this issue seems to be in aircraft cfg somewhere, but I'm not sure on this.  Second, it seems these same third party aircraft will roll on their own while the parking brake is set!  This is just too damned funny.  If you guys know of any fixes please shoot out a reply.  I would greatly appreciate it.

If you are using a joystick, go into Start > Settings > Control Panel > Game Controllers > Properties, and have a peek at the various joystick displays.

If part of the display is fluttering when you are not touching the stick, or if it is random when moving the stick/throttle, then you have a problem with your joystick internal connections, (worn/dirty  potentiometer connections).

F... 8-)...!

WD 40, or contact cleaner, to the rescue!... ;)...!

Does your stick have force feedback?

This can sometimes cause the flutter you are talking about ...... some designers have fixes it may be worth emailing them.

Thank you both for your responses, as I do appreciate them.  I must tend to believe that my joystick is not at cause, because the fluttering elevator--( trust me, if you were to see it happen it would look like a butterfly is trying to fly off the ass end of these jets! LOL )--is only an issue on a small few third party aircraft.  The rest fly as advertised.  And the slow rolling while the parking brake is on should also be an aircraft config issue.  Have either of you guys actually seen this, or anyone else seen this.  OK...one specific aircraft is the Mig 23 by Kazunori Ito.  This particular plane downloads with both issues---fluttering elevator and rolling with parking brake set.  I downloaded this from our own beloved simviation sight.  Give it a shot and download it, install it, then fire up fs9 and see what you think.  You don't even have to install all the extra crap, as it has no bering on aircraft config.  Shoot me back a response and tell me what you see.
