What is wrong here

Postby videokid1969 » Thu Aug 23, 2007 6:49 pm

I have downloaded the Beechcraft Starship 2000 off of FS2004 Prop page 39 and it flies right, sounds good, and looks right. But when I add the 3 texture pack that you find on FS2004 Prop page 95 and then try to use one of the new colored textured planes I get a nice looking plane and flies good but no sound??  :-? If some one could take a look at that and give me some pointers,  or if somebody has already done this and knows how to get it to work it would be very cool.  :)

The author of the new textures mistakenly put values in the 'panel=' and 'sound=' lines in the new [fltsim.x] sections. Remove the values so they match the lines in the [fltsim.0] section.

Dave

Note: these 2 lines function the same as the 'texture=' line in that any value here would point to (the extension of) an alternate folder name. Example: if you wanted to use an alternate panel configured in a 'panel.1' folder the line would be 'panel=1'.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

Just get rid of the sound file, then cut and paste the sound file from the first plane to the one that has no sound.

Looking at the file date on 'star_gps.gau' (12/25/2001) this gauge is not compatible with the fs9 gps.dll..... probably from FS8.

For a quick fix open the 'panel,cfg' and substitute the default fs9 gps. Back up the file before editing.

[Window01]
file=GPS.bmp
file_1024=GPS.bmp
size_mm=320
window_size_ratio=1.000
