Ready For Pushback

Postby a1 » Wed Aug 22, 2007 3:03 pm

I just downloaded it and i did a manual install. I didn't trust those auto installers so i extracted them from a folder. I put everything in it's place. I just can't seem to make the gauges appear in the game. I put all of the .gau files in the Gauges folder but nothing. How can i make the gauges show?

Are you sure they weren't supposed to stay in their own sub-folder? I've never used the package you're talking about, but I too manually install everything, and I've occasionally run situations where that is the case. (even if the folder is named gauges too)

Sometimes I have to close FS9 and opened it again when I install a new plane for it to show the gauges (only happened to me once or twice).

The panel configeration file has no entries in it. I think that might be the problem. If so what do i put as entries? :-?

I just checked this out & all appears to work as advertised. First make sure you installed the folder named RFP_Panels to FS9\Aircraft. This folder contains the panels that all the variations are aliased to. Now look for a folder named RFP_V2. This contains all the gauges for the aforementioned panels. Paste the RFP_V2 folder into the FS9 root folder.

This is a complex package but should be easy enough to install manually providing you paste the files/folders to their correct locations. (Contents of Aircraft folder to FS9\Aircraft, contents of Effects to FS9\Effects & so on.) As this is ex-payware it's one instance where the auto-install should work without problems.
