ukmil VC10 installation question.

Postby gypsymoth » Sat Aug 18, 2007 4:39 pm

I have just installed the above but nothing shows at Brize Norton.   The readme says something about AFCADs.  What's an AFCAD & what do I need for the basic FS9 with no addons apart from aircraft.  I've no scenery, etc added.  The ukmil site is very sparse with advice so I'd appreciate advice here please!

Their directions are quite sparse. An 'Afcad' refers to a file created by the Afcad program to modify or create airports. In this case it is used to add the taxi routes and parking spots required for the ai traffic.

I mentioned in your other post:

'If you decide to install (any) UKMIL packages you should also get their Afcad downloads, a link is at the bottom of the download page. These will put the necessary parking at the airports....... Install the 'Latest_Afcad_Changes' package last.'

Here's the link-Afcad downloads

Download the 'Default Scenery'

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.
