Fs9 Won't Uninstall

I am trying ot re-install Fs9 Because of a scenery texture problem, But I cant even uninstall it!!!
I am running windows ME on a Intell Pentium 3 proseser with 255mb of ram. (Ya, my computer sucks)
I end pracitcly all other progams running. Should I just delete the Fs9 Root Folder, and save all the addons and other files, and then reinstall it.
Ive tried the Add/Remove Progams, but thst just removed a AI flight plan, and ive tried to do it from disc 1, but it just stops, and i have to go to the good old ctrl/alt/delete.

Have you downloaded any "Self-install" add ons for FS9?
Apparently they over run some files such as uninstall.  :-/

This is real easy....Just pop in disk one and use the uninstall option there. True enough that some add-ons over-write the original uninstall program, but if you use the disk, it won't matter.

....mmm....follow Dave's advice.....especially re the 9.1 update.......don't just blindly delete stuff or you might never get a working FS again........go to the link he gave for manually deleting and follow it exactly...........commoner

Had the same problem recently trying to get FS9 off my old machine- pop in Disc #1 and take it from there.

Wow, Thanks everyone, [smiley=dankk2.gif], i uninstalled it (I ended up manually uninstallnig it), re-instaled it, and im back up flying in the skys of Fs2004. The help was great!!!
