Removing AC from FS2004

Postby aussiewannabe » Sat Aug 11, 2007 12:51 pm

What's the best way to remove original AC from FS2004? I want to get rid of the ATR42.

Just cut the entire aircraft's folder from the main Aircraft folder in the sim.

You likely may want to place it intact in a backup location.   ;)

Also... make sure that no OTHER aircraft has stuff aliased to that plane... or THEY won't work correctly.

best,

Thought so. I don't think it's related to any other AC.

Thanks.

My recommendation is to create a new folder, such as "Aircraft Spares", and move the ATR42 into the new folder. That will remove it from the aircraft menu.

In a few weeks or months, assuming no problems, then you can delete it for good. As noted in a previous post, you never know if another aircraft may alias the ATR. Perhaps you will download another aircraft in the future that depends on the ATR for a panel or sounds.

Also, if the ATR42 is used in the AI fleet, deleting it may create a problem.
