NEED HELP!!!!!!!!!

How do you do an ils landing in an a320?????? I have no idea how to do one anyway and i dont wanna do the lessions so please help!

Well... my suggestion would be: do the lessons but seeing as you don't want to....

Get your Navigation radio, and tune it to the frequency of the ILS precision approach you want to shoot (information can be obtained simply by clicking on said ILS in the map view). Afterward, you should see the ILS information displayed on both the Primary Flight Display (here on referred to as PFD) and Horizontal Situation Indicator (here on referred to as HSI). On the PFD, the localizer (which scrolls horizontally along the bottom, or on the course line of HSI) will tell you your lateral position to the runway. If the little display "needle," as it is called (the purple bug-like thing), is off center, that is, to the left or right of the center line, you are too far in the opposite direction that it is indicating. That is: If the bug is moving left, you are drifting too far to the right of the runway, and should fly farther left to get the bug back in the center. The bug scrolling up and down on the right of the PFD (or the bar moving up and down in the HSI) is the Glideslope indicator, which tells you how far above or below the ILS approach you are, and it functions in the same way as the localizer (bug drifts up, reduce rate of descent, or climb, if need be. Drifts down, increase rate of descent)

Keep both of those bugs (or bars) centered, and you will be brought down right where you want to be on the runway. You can do this manually, or you can tune the ILS and let the autopilot do all the work (APR hold), but be warned that APR hold is a rather buggy function that can send you drifting off toward a nearby mountain. If that happens, turn it off and perform the landing manually.

The best way to master the ILS is to practice, and to practice well, I strongly suggest you do the lesson.

That's a quick summing up of what to do, not the best, I know, but it should at least help a little.

If you want some help early on in your ILS approach career, you can turn on the visual flight path, as well. It's in the aircraft menu.

I realize that the people who use the sim to play, "instant airline  captain", won't care one way or the other, and the simmers who do approach it realistically already know (or are learning) how fun and educational it can be...

It will be easier (and less annoying to the readers) to point to a sticky (full of feedback and shared experiences), than to keep answereing the posts that say, " I just got MSFS and can't land the 747..  HELP ME!"

I must admit, Brett, you have far more patience with the little ones than I have, in repeating the same thing over, and over, and over again....endlessly...!!

From now on, I give up.... ....!

You know, I hear you.  It is hard to put into words . . . or maybe hard to find the target audience, but there is much to be said for progressing through the Flight Simulator experience step-by-step.  On the other hand, "instant airline captain" (as you so eloquently put it) has its appeal, too.  So, what to do?

I think if there was some way to separate the joy of flying anything right now from the valuable process of learning the right way into two separate but not necessarily contradictory means . . . And to be able to either answer people with an "instant" answer or tell them to go study  . . .

Bwah. Too late to be pondering this, let alone commenting on it.  Suffice to say, I hear you, Brett.
