Just Completed All Flying Lessons!

Postby Ben R » Tue Jul 31, 2007 8:55 am

:P well, i am extremely happy to say i have completed all the flying lessons for fs2004, and it adds a hell of alot more fun and realism to my flights..

i have had fs9 for about 2 years and then the other day thought, hey, ill give my self a challenge, some aspects were a little bit hard, but i came thu, and completed them all, i learnt alot of things, and i think flying the cessna is NOW really fun, whereas i thought it was useless..

thanks for looking,

ben

Congrats  :)

You're about to find out just how useful that Cessna is..

Get your hands on some approach plates (you can download PDF plates at www.airnav.com  ... When you're at a specific airport's page, near the bottom you'll see d-load links for all the approaches)..

If you're not familiar with how to read them, that's your homework. If you already can read an approach plate.. set up a few flights ending with those approaches (user defined weather for 1 mile visibility) and practice flying them to the letter.. (confirming your performance in the flight analysis)

There is  SO  much information on a plate.. and SO many things going on when you fly a realistic instrument approach. It's amazingly fun and challenging..

Take your time...  If it were easy, it wouldn't be fun or challenging..

Best tutorial, online:

Congratulations Ben!!!

As I am still working my way through the flight lessons, it is good inspiration and motivation to see someone else finish them.  I look forward to joining your esteemed position in the hopefully none-too-distant future.

Again, many congratulations!

How you made it thru those FS9 lessons without going bonkers I don't know- I salute you. That's got to be harder than getting a RL ATP... the AI instructors are completely insane.
