Overweight

Postby Dan Morera » Mon Jul 30, 2007 10:19 pm

I downloaded this 737 found here:AVA 737 and I'm having some issues, first the plane is way too heavy, when I go to adjust the fuel load and cargo weight FS9 shuts down. It did not do that before I installed this plane, also when I create a flight its locating my plane anywhere in the airfield, sometimes in the middle of a runway perpendicular to it.

This plane comes with an installer, I made the stupid mistake of just running it the first time, it looked like it didn't install anything (but I bet it did). So I ran the installer on another folder and manually copied the files where they belonged. I know I'm an idiot  :-[

So my questions:
  • How can I fix the weight issue on this plane for good?
  • How can I stop FS9 from shutting down when I adjust fuel/cargo?
  • How can I fix the issue of my plane showing off at weird places in the airfield?

Here's what the weight section of the plane's cfg looks like

It appears that fs9 only shuts down when I change this plane's load.

And my airport problem appears to be not related

Thanks

Have you install any new hardwear recentaly? That could be causing the problem.

If this isnt then I would re-intall FS and then install one addon one at a time and see which one causes the problem, im still donig that now from my FS problem.

Its bloody hot in Wickwar today. I can finally take my long sleved Arsenal goalkeeper top of to let some heat into me, havnt been able to take it off for ages as it is so cold.

And that don't look like a meal to me it looks more like a lump of baby food with mushed brains and Lord Voldermorts (Lord Mouldybutt) head on the side. If it keeps you happy then good. The dark shades of the force have left. So you can now jump out of your Sunday roast and come out now.

Currently listining to Bloodhound Gang - Discovery Channel, Shrek 2 - I need a hero, Space Mountain: Mission 2 Soundtrack  :D

From my limited knowledge it seems the aircraft.cfg has FAR to many weight stations throughout the aircraft.

Back up the aircraft.cfg abd maybe try deleting about 40 of them  ;)

It may not help,

But it's worth a shot  :)

Meanwhile, back on topic...

::)  ;D

Yep, there seem to be far too many weight stations - I'm sure that FS isn't sensitive enough to reflect the difference you'd make by changing a single seat's weight! Backup the aircraft.cfg and rem out all of the weight station figures, replacing them with these from my 737 Experience cfg:

station_load.0="940.0, 10.0, 0.0, 0.0, Crew"
station_load.1="2800.0, 25.0, 0.0, 0.0, Business"
station_load.2="18600.0, -20.0, 0.0, 0.0, Economy"
station_load.3="8090.0, 40.0, 0.0, 0.0, Forward cargo"
station_load.4="7700.0, -30.0, 0.0, 0.0, Rear cargo"

See if that makes any difference.

;)

PS Pass the ketchup, Paul!

yes either you can try editing (or deleting) the stations in the .cfg file you can also change the weight by going into the fuel and payload section in FS9 and reducing the numbers. nice food by the way!!  ;D
