"Park Up" there is no such term, after you land you taxi (drive the plane) to a stand (parking space) by following the taxiway (yellow lines on the ground) you then put the parking brake on and then turn your engines off.

I would recomend after installing the game doing the Flying Lessons in the game.

If your not that experienced with flight sims don't go trying to jump into the biggest fastest aircraft you can find, its a very easy way of you jumping in way over your head and not being able to get a grips with the sim and just loosing interest. Firstly when you get the sim, try and do all of the lessons and get to grips with the basics.... then have fun in some A380's and F-16's!  ;D

All the flight lessons use the default Cessna 172, so you don't need to download any add-ons.  Still, I understand that urge all too well.  However . . .

After you install FS2004 and before you start installing add-ons like crazy (like we all do), play the game for awhile to get a feel for how it functions.  If you don't play it first before you start putting in add-ons, it may be harder for you to tell when there is a problem if it is FS2004 related or add-on related.  

Once you become familiar with normal game function (and I do mean familiar), then, by all means, start adding aircraft, scenery, and what-have-you to your heart's content.  Though, again, before you start adding stuff to FS2004 it would be helpful to make a back-up of your files if you have to fix a muck up.

thanks to all, i knew that i couldnt use add-ons for the tutorial, and i wasnt thinking about the faster ones, i just want some civil jets, thanks again

one last question, do you "need" a jotstick, i will get one, i just dont have one at the moment, so you need it to play?

I wouldn't say you "need" one, but it is ALOT better (and easier) with one.  ;)

A joystick can certainly make your life a lot easier.  I recommend something with three axis (forward-back, left-right, and twist) so you can also control the rudder via your joystick.  Also one that has a throttle control is very nice.

One that is not to expensive, has all those features, and 12 buttons to assign to various flight functions to is  the Logitech Extreme 3d Pro.
