Flashing ground textures.

Postby Etienne62 » Thu Jul 12, 2007 4:06 pm

Hi all,
I'm getting problems with add on scenery. Not all airports, but some. The default terrain bleeds through the addon terrain. Like large shapes of the original terrain will flash on and off through the apron of the addon airport. This only happens when i land there though i've noticed. If i load an aircraft there to start with, everythings ok.
Anyone got any ideas of what i can do?
Thanx.
Stephen.

It sounds as if you might need a flatten or exclude switch with the add on scenery. Make sure to read the read me file that should have came with the add on scenery.

:oWhen I transferred JF World Airports from FS2002 to FS9 all sceneries were bleeding (flashing). I moved them around in the scenery config this helped on some! However JF released an upgrade which cured all airports of bleeding in FS9
Scnery creators do like contact with users, so I would e-mail them for help!

I've looked at the documentation, and i can't find anything about a flatten switch. Its getting annoying now, because i've just landed at Rome, which is another bought add on, and i've got the same problem there. But when i did my first flight to Rome, i didn't have the problem. I would have noticed it. The problem on this occasion doesn't affect the taxiways, just the grass around them. The default textures just bleed through. Is there any settings that i should be aware of that may resolve this problem????
Thanks,
Stephen.
My graphics card is a Radeon x700se. BTW.
