FS2004 WTC Memorial

Postby BoeingBoy78 » Fri Jul 13, 2007 12:13 pm

Hello, my name is Evan and I am creating an airshow in respect for the events of 9/11 using FS2004, however I need some help to create coordinated air shows for the finale, and just the help of others who will help take screenshots. We owe everything to America- 1,000 perished, but millions rose from the dust... its our country, our world. So give me a shout at cba_7770@yahoo.com.

Why would you want to recreate that to honor the ones who perished? If you want to honor them try building a memorial in fs9 or something. Flying some planes into buildings is a bit loony in my opinion. :P

I thought the same thing --- & thought this must be a deliberate provocation ...  ;)

Anyway - suggest you ask this in the multiplayer  :)

I assume by "recreating the events" you mean recreating the aerial patrols over New York and Washington after the attacks? I was in New York the next day... you could hear them, but it wasn't much to see.

Just think it's a peculiar idea for an airshow... but do whatever you want, it's a free country.

BTW, about three thousand died, not that it really matters that much.

I'm sorry I miss-led eveyone. I am creating a totaly new airshow for the events of 9/11. There will be tomcats, hornets, and F-16s with hopefully smoke which I need someone to help me with. And also a little input on the aerobatic layout, beginning with the towers standing, then memorial lights, and then a ghost of the new towers.

There are a number of sceneries available vis-a-vis the WTC. As for airshow ideas you might want to have a look around in the Multiplayer forum and you could do worse than checkout my aerobatic tutorial here at SimV for some ideas ;)

Finally someone who wants to make an airshow to remember those who died that horrible day. :'( You should see jerks who made Youtube videos actually recreating the events instead of making memorial videos. I hate it when people want to recreate tragedies but making memorial airshows is a great idea. :) This is just my opinion but I think it would be a good idea if the airshow were to be on 9/11/07 instead of any other day. I think it should also be a multiplayer event so many people can participate. If this does become a multiplayer idea than the thread should be moved to the multiplayer forum. :)

This is akin to having airshows of B-17's and Lancaster Bombers over Dresden.

You edited your post good sho the way it was worded before made it sound like you were going to re-create those horrible events. But now I understand and it sounds like a good idea!

I was thinking maybe a few of these doing some figurations and a c-130 with parachuters.

I agree, I think. If I am in fact reading between the lines.
