Add this line under [MAIN] in your fs9.cfg file and you actually GET an average frame rate display, with high, low, and deviation.
Ave_Frame_Rate_Display=1

Easy-peasy, my old Chum....
If the frame rate is temporally Un-Locked, (Shift + Z), then the average frame rate can be observed.
...and your apology for being an "FX User" is duly noted, but that's a cross that you alone must bear, I'm afraid......
.....not an area I wish to delve into!......!

Presses Shift + Z - Well, there it is. I've seen it before, but I guess I forgot the command. Rechecked FSX Keyboard Commands List and found it under Cycle Coordinates/Frame Rates. Damn bifocals!!
I will admit that FSX sometimes has me wanting to pull my hair out. Never had FS 2004, but I hear that there are some things better in this version than FSX.
Thanks for the tip.

Just to confirm the location of the Frame Rate "doobry" in FS 2004....>>>>
Alt > Options > Settings > Display > Hardware > Target Frame Rate > (set 0 to 99).
I'm not sure where it is in FSX...(Haven't run the program long enuf to find out......)....LOL...
...!
Shift + Z will then cycle through the various settings at the top of the screen.
Paul......!

All settings maxed out and i mean everything fps around 60

Well when i press shift-z to get the data on the altitude etc. the FPS counter says the game is running at 60 fps and i do not experience any blurries or anything else like that.

I'm not trying to rub my fps rate into anybodies face I'm just replying to this thread
