Building Crash

Postby John_HR » Sun Jul 08, 2007 8:18 am

:o Hey guys, I need some help.  in my FS2004 I downloaded and installed "cyqrrev2"  (FS2004/FSX, Regina Intl. Airport & Groome Field,  Author Greg Putz)  when I try it it crashes everytime within 1 minute, first I thought maybe the plane was too close to the building, so I backed the plane up, far away from any building, it keeps crahing  (Building Crash)  Only when sitting on a runway it does not crash, when I taxi towards the terminal, as soon as the plane moves onto the tarmac, it crashes again  >:(

Help Please.

I've noticed that in FS2004, you don't always have to "hit" a building to have a building crash, you just have be close to one. Also, alot of add on scenery is made in such a way, that it makes buildings that would be present in the default scenery invisible, but even though you can't see them, the sim still acts as though they are still there. I'm not sure how common this is or why it happens, but it has happened to me.
Try this. Enter the flight that you have the "building crash", enter slew mode ( or hit "shift+z" to show your plane's position) and move to the place the crash occurs, making a note of your plane's coordinates. Then try to uninstall the scenery, start the flight again and slew to the same place. I'm thinking there is a building (or something)in that general area in the default scenery. Now, as far as fixing the problem goes, I'm at a loss. If there is more than one terminal in the add-on, maybe you could slew to it and save the flight?

Are your scenery sliders set to extremely dense.? If not set them there and see if a building appears out of nowhere. 8-)

:( Had to uninstall  "cyqrrev2"  Scenery file, no good, even when I park far away from any visible or unvisible building, it keeps crashing my system. I would strongly recommend to everyone not to install it.

Thanks guys,  Groundbound and garymbuska.
