I have everything maxed out, with FS fixed at about 15fps.

That does me fine, and I know I have better looking graphics than other people out there running 100fps...

:D   I run FS9 pretty much to the hilt.  I play with the sliders a little to see if there is any noticable difference on the high end and have it set where it and I are comfortable.  Which is pegged.

I just put in a clean 320Gb hard drive and a boxed version of Windows. I have zero viruses and spywares now. I have to re-install FS2004 and am hoping that it screams, while before it kind of whimpered...

I am even feeling confident with installing Effessecks...

Considering the payware planes I fly (Maddog2006, Level-D, Flight 1) with Flight Environment, GE Pro, Active Sky, 3rd party AI Traffic.... NO, not maxed.   :'(

I'm looking to build a new system at the end of July when the Quad Core Intels drop in price.  The Q6600 should be about half price after July 22, so I'm looking to buy that and run FS9 maxed with all my payware stuff and FSX for messing around with.   :)

Don't run maxed.

However, when they see my sim with PMDG 747 at 25fps in the VC, 100% AI, they'll be jealous.

My No 1 priority as a low and slow flyer, is high quality ground scenery and effects, with all my sliders maxed, so I try to avoid frame-rate-robbing, highly detailed aircraft....
...after all, I can't see the outside of my aircraft whilst I am inside it!
All I see is my yoke, my instruments, and what is outside of my windows in front of me!...;)...!

The only thing which slows me down slightly is highly complex, 3rd Party, add-on scenery.
So, no problems with all the sliders maxed, boxes ticked, and my frame rate locked at 20FPS... :)...!

...No problemo!... :-*...!

Baron.... 8-)...!

I'm not sure. You didn't provide that box to check...

There should also be a box for "Who cares?"
(And just so you know, I don't have everything "Maxed" but I still love FS9)
