[exits] parameter

Postby f-16 » Mon Jun 11, 2007 9:21 am

I was wondering if there is anyway to program SHIFT+E to open both the cargo and the passenger doors at the same time. To get the cargo door open I have to do SHIFT+E+2, and this gets to be a pain.

Does this have anything to do with the_number_of_exits parameter?

Thanks for your help.

Well, a simple way to find out would be to change the first parameter for all the entries ( the "type" )
to match the entry for the main exits, then see if that allows the exits to open together.

My uneducated guess would be that it's the model coding that responds to the various exit
commands and is not able to be modifies ( easily ).

I used to experience the same problem.

It was always so annoying having to press "Shift + E, and then move the middle middle finger on my left hand to press the "1" and "2" keys to open the various doors.

This was causing so much alarm and discomfort that a visit to the Doctor confirmed that the complaint was identified as "Middle Finger Pressing Keys "1" and "2" Syndrome".

To prevent a re-occurrence I have now learned to stare at the Monitor, concentrating very hard on the doors, and I can will them to open and close without ever touching the keyboard.*

So no more messing about, tapping keys... :)...!

Sorted... ;)....!

Paul.... ;D...!

I was thinking the same thing. It might be programed into the model. I will try to change the "Type" and see what happens.

No dice. No changes I made worked. I guess it is programed into the model. RATS!

Thanks anyway.
