wow that is most odd. i'd be taking it back to the shop. whereabouts you get your copy from?

downloaded the freeware version from avsim.

Can't really hack the reason of this malfunctioning. Try downloading it again, maybe the installer went corrupted in the download. :-?

yeah redownload it, see what happens, maybe even try saving it, instead of opening?
